WizKid came thru with this smooth Afro-centric music video. Unfortunately, Drake was not in the video which is, in my opinion, not a good look for him. Overall, this song would make any african feel wonderful in how they are represented in the video. Check it out!!
Elijah Blake collaborated with SANKOFA.org, the social justice organization founded by Harry Belafonte, to release the official video to “Hanging Tree.”
In an exclusive interview with The FADER, Blake states: “I wrote “Hanging Tree” as a way to use my voice for equal rights, especially black rights, in the aftermath of tragedies like Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Freddie Gray, Tamir Rice and so many others whose voices have been silenced."
"Everybody's praying for peace, but who's gonna protect us from the police?" he sings ahead of the song's chorus: "Keep these chains off me, 'cause I don't wanna be another seed underneath the hanging tree."
Now this might be the song of the summer! "Unforgettable" has been playing all over lately but the video just sealed the deal.

iSpy has been out since December of 2016, but it's been the perfect track to bump as spring is starting to peak. The video for this lighthearted, thirst-filled record gives us a landscape of the beach as Kyle and Yachty watch baddies basking in the sun with the intention of wifing one up, of course. Close your eyes for a moment and envision how the Rugrats would make a video if they were rappers. Got it? That's exactly what this is. Enjoy!
Russ makes sure that we know he's been grinding for a long most of his songs. On this record he chose to "Expose" the game as he throws shade left to right. He reveals how artist put up a front, and schools us on some touchy subjects that most rappers would not share with the public. Footage of Russ's live performance are seen while messages appear from time to time. If you want to see baddies, fast cars and drugs this video is not for you. Stay woke and watch the full video.

There's clearly more to be analyzed within it, but we have time. For now, just press play! Kendrick never disappoints and sure raised the anticipation for us to hear the additional tracks from the new album! Who's counting down??
The Toronto native started the year off with a new album. He seems to be following his boss Weekend with the drug filled tales. "Myself" is a fan favorite and Nav finally released the video. Miguel has not released visuals in a while and it feels great to see him back on the screen. Only this time he brought Brooklyn's finest along "DJ Premiere." This song was left on the shelf for quite some time now, but we're glad it's finally out with a video footage. Throughout the video Miguel is seen making subtle dance moves while DJ Premiere is scratching his classic turntables. Most of the video is shot in what seems to be a warehouse. The meaning behind the video is revealed when couples from different sexual orientations are seen embracing each other. "We set fire to these skies for our love and I’d do it all again/I’m damned of loving you", The video supports these touching lyrics. Watch the video footage below.
Weekend's second single off of the "Starboy" album is "I Feel It Coming" which was produced by Daft Punk will soon be an all time favorite. Warren Fu shot the clip immolating the aesthetics of old VHS tapes. Weekend not only sounded but dressed like the legendary Michael Jackson. You'll see an apocalyptic typhoon turn Weekend and his lover to stone and crumble. Daft Punk played their instruments behind their signature helmets and Darth Vador like attire. This song is very hard to not love. Watch the full video below!
D.C. born and bred rapper Goldlink continues to be the dude to watch with his quick and groovy flow. He and fellow DMV natives Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy show us what crew love looks and feels like in his video for his single "Crew" off of his debut studio album At What Cost. Kodak Black has been climbing up the Charts with this hit single. Produced by Metro Boomin and Southside. "Tunnel Vision" is rapidly making it's way up in the Billboard's top 10. With this video Kodak grew his fan base and he's also making a statement. In the controversial video Kodak is taking a stance against the Klu Klux Klan (KKK) as he stands in front of a burning cross. Most of the video Kodak is seen rapping in front of a hill of burning crosses while he dances. There's also a scene where a white man wearing a "Make America Hate Again" hat is fighting a black man. The video depicts very interesting chain of events and the message has been getting through to the masses. "Lil Kodak, they don't like to see you winnin, they wanna see you in the penitentiary" has been uttered out of the mouth's of millions.
