It seems like 2017 will be the year of Atlanta. With the Falcons heading to the Super Bowl since their last visit in 1999 and with the release of Gucci Mane, it seems as if all of Atlanta's dreams have been coming true. To add to Atlanta's list of accolades, Donald Glover's television show, Atlanta, won Golden Globes for Best TV Series Comedy or Musical and for Best Actor in a TV Comedy or Musical. Within Donald Glover's acceptance speech, he recognized another ATL native, Migos. The actor turned writer turned commedian turned rapper turned singer, went out of his way to acknowledge the southern muscial trio for making "Bad and Bougie" stating,
"I really want to thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making 'Bad and Boujee,'" Glover said.
Unfortunatly, the press of the Golden Globes were not familiar with the urban song, "Bad and Boujee" and when asked why he shouted out MIgos during a press conference, he then expressed his love for the song with two solid reasons:
- "I think they're the Beatles of this generation."
- "Honestly, that song is just fly. There's no better song to have sex to."
